Ni Putes Ni Soumises Dresses Marianne in a Burqa in Defense of Women's Rights

Here are some fabulous pics of the rally organized by Ni Putes Ni Soumises in Paris, France this past weekend in defense of women's rights, secularism, gender equality and gender desegregation.  Two professional mountain climbers draped a giant burqa over the "Equality" pedestal figure of the Marianne statue in the center of the Place de la Republique.  All of the participants were dressed as Mariannes.  Marianne is the French national icon of liberty and equality.  Ni Putes Ni Soumises (NPNS -- Neither Whores Nor Submissives) is an international human rights organization that advocates on behalf of women's rights as universal human rights without compromise.  They support the anticipated public burqa ban in France, as do I.
