Our firefighters, our public school teachers, our nurses, our custodians, our caregivers are screaming out.
Pay attention.
These are your neighbors. These are the people who make Wisconsin and the whole US run. These are the people who take care of you and yours.
Does the US have to turn into a corporate oligarchy run by McDonalds for people to get it?
This is the worst case scenario.
Public employees and unions did not make the economic crisis.
You won't be able to end the recession on their backs, if you break their backs.
This is a concerted effort by the corporations to destroy the only remaining institution that speaks for the People of the United States -- the Unions!
Public employees aren't greedy freeloaders living Cadillac lifestyles.
They are the people who created the middle class, they are the middle class, they are the people who made the US great!
People have been convinced by the corporations to vote against their own best interests.
They have been convinced by the corporations that they will somehow be less free if people earn decent wages in safe working conditions and can afford to send their kids to the doctor and to college.
When, actually, the opposite is true.
If you want your freedom, real freedom, then support the public unions.
Support workers' rights.
Support your neighbors.
